I have recently received large numbers of
photographs of
horrendous birth deformities that are being experienced in
Iraq. The deformities are caused by approximately
3000 metric tons of Depleted Uranium (DU) dust that was left by the use of
DU ammunition. I have not, quite frankly, ever seen anything like them. I urge you to forward this page by email and copy this page / these pictures and circulate them as widely as possible. I have heard stories of visitors to Iraq who spoke with mid-wives there. These mid-wives have said they no longer look forward to births as.... "We don't know what's going to come out. extremely disturbing, and show exactly what the
after effects of depleted uranium are. Be forewarned that these pictures are extremely graphic.
A little background material: In an act of stark cruelty, the
US dominated Sanctions Committee refuses to permit Iraq to import the clean-up equipment that they desperately need to decontaminate Iraq of the Depleted Uranium ammunition that the US fired at them. Approximately 3000 metric tons of DU dust was left by the use of this ammunition.
The Sanctions Committee also refuses to allow the mass importation of anti-cancer treatments, which contain trace amounts of radio-isotopes,
on the grounds that these constitute '...nuclear materials..'

American Child Severe deformities of arms. This child was born to a Gulf War
Veteran.
Severe body deformity, intestines forming on outside of stomach, head formed at 90 degree angle to upper torso.
Extreme hydrocephalus; deformity of face, body and ear. The line running down the right hand side of the head would appear to show that potentially two heads were forming.
Child with almost total deformity of the face; no recognisable features at all, and what appears to be one eye situated in the middle of the forehead.
Severe deformities of mouth and eyes. The welts appear to indicate open wounds, or unformed
skin tissue.
When our soldiers go to war, and risk their lives, they never imagine that their children will suffer the consequences.

What is a war casualty? The answer appears painfully obvious. It
asserts itself not through argument but, more viscerally, through
photographs: a torso shredded by a road-side bomb; a bloodied peasant
spread-eagled in a ditch; a soldier (cigarette dangling nonchalantly)
smashing his boot into a dead woman's head. Yet such images account
only for immediate, visually arresting fatalities. What about those
casualties that don't fit the photographic stereotypes, casualties that
occur long after major combat has been concluded, casualties whose
belatedness and dispersal make them resistant to dramatic packaging?
The news media, in thrall to speed and spectacle, lack the attention
span to follow war-inflicted catastrophes that take years or
generations to exact their toll.

My grandfather, U.S. Army Col. Edwin Joseph McAllister, was born
in Battle Creek in 1895. He does not know that his first grandchild is
an international expert on depleted uranium. I have worked in two U.S.
nuclear weapons laboratories, and in 1991 I became a whistleblower at
the Livermore lab. Depleted uranium is very, very, very nasty stuff:
- Depleted uranium (DU) weaponry meets the definition of weapon
of mass destruction in two out of three categories under U.S. Federal Code
Title 50 Chapter 40 Section 2302.
- DU weaponry violates all international treaties and agreements, Hague and Geneva war conventions, the 1925 Geneva gas protocol, U.S. laws and U.S. military law.
- Since 1991, the U.S. has released the radioactive atomicity equivalent of at least 400,000 Nagasaki bombs into the global atmosphere. That is 10 times the amount released during atmospheric testing which was the equivalent of 40,000 Hiroshima bombs. The U.S. has permanently contaminated the global atmosphere with radioactive pollution having a half-life of 2.5 billion years.
- The U.S. has illegally conducted four nuclear wars in Yugoslavia,
Afghanistan and twice in Iraq since 1991, calling DU "conventional"
weapons when in fact they are nuclear weapons.

British and American coalition forces are using depleted uranium (DU) shells in the war against Iraq and deliberately flouting a United Nations resolution which classifies the munitions as illegal weapons of mass destruction.
DU contaminates land, causes ill-health and cancers among the soldiers using the weapons, the armies they target and civilians, leading to birth defects in children. . . .
DU has been blamed for the effects of Gulf war syndrome -- typified by chronic muscle and joint pain, fatigue and memory loss -- among 200,000 US soldiers after the 1991 conflict.
It is also cited as the most likely cause of the 'increased number of birth deformities and cancer in Iraq' following the first Gulf war. . .

"The Constitution mentions as reasons for Impeachment of the President and other officials as "high crimes and misdemeanors" without further defining which misdemeanors were in mind. Gerald Ford, during his term, said an impeachable offense is anything the Congress deems it to be. But clearly because of the requirement of a two thirds majority of votes in each house for impeachment the action was to be used only for the most egregious of circumstances amounting to the most gross malfeasance and dereliction of duty.
